Yumr

Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 10, 2026

The short version: Yumr does not require an account, does not track you, does not sell your data, and does not store your meal photos after analysis. Everything you scan stays on your phone.

1. Who We Are

Yumr is operated by Lino Ti Inc. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use the Yumr iOS app, how we use it, and your rights regarding it.

2. Information We Collect

We have intentionally designed Yumr to collect as little personal information as possible.

2.1 Meal Photos

When you take a photo of a meal, the image is sent to our backend service hosted on Cloudflare Workers for AI analysis. The photo is processed by OpenAI's GPT-4o vision model to identify ingredients and nutritional content. The photo is not retained after analysis is complete. We do not store, share, or sell your meal photos.

2.2 Analysis Results

Your meal scan results (ingredients, scores, history) are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework. They never leave your phone unless you explicitly export or share them.

2.3 Anonymous Usage Data

Our backend logs technical information necessary for service operation: request timestamps, response codes, and error logs. These logs do not contain personal information and are retained for up to 30 days for debugging purposes.

2.4 Purchase Information

Subscription and lifetime purchases are processed by Apple. We receive only an entitlement signal indicating whether your account is active. We do not see your name, email, payment method, or billing address.

3. What We Do NOT Collect

4. Permissions We Request

5. Third-Party Services

Yumr uses the following third-party services to operate:

6. Children's Privacy

Yumr is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used Yumr, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

7. Your Rights

Because we do not store personal information about you on our servers, there is generally no data for us to retrieve, modify, or delete on your behalf. To delete all your scan history, simply uninstall the Yumr app from your device. This removes the local SwiftData store entirely.

If you are in a jurisdiction with specific data protection rights (such as the EU under GDPR, California under CCPA, or Quebec under Law 25), and you believe we hold any data about you, contact us at [email protected].

8. Data Security

Meal photos are transmitted over HTTPS/TLS to our backend. Local data on your device is protected by your device's encryption. We do not maintain a database of user accounts or personal information that could be breached.

9. Data Retention

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the App or our website. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
